This piece is the second in a series of lidded vessels made with wood
salvaged from a 100-year-old barn near Frederick, MD.
We turned each piece on a Delta midi wood lathe and finished each with Dr. Woodshop’s Walnut Oil, making them as food safe as we know how.
Each vessel has a capacity of about one cup. In the kitchen and dining room they excel as salt cellars, containers for sauces, fruits, nuts, candy…. The old weathered oak brings character to any display setting.
